Thank you for taking the first step to becoming the best version of yourself. Whether you are looking for help navigating through a difficult season of life, would like to repair past trauma, or just need maintenance therapy, I am able to assist you in finding coping skills and the answers within yourself to help you get to the next level.

I specialize in working with women, adolescents, and young adults through the difficult transitions of life. I have experience from the school sector, child welfare sector, and family services sector. This experience has helped me to cultivate a great understanding of children and families and the best therapeutic practices to use.

I am an EMDR therapist as well.

Owosso

It’s common for youth and families to feel scared, sad, and overwhelmed with not only the daily demands of life, but past experiences with trauma. It’s also hard to ask for help, especially when seeking support for a child. I have over ten years of experience providing counseling services to children and families. More importantly, working with youth is what I love. I specialize in providing Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition, I am passionate about working with parents and caregivers throughout the therapeutic process. I also enjoy utilizing mindfulness approaches to teach clients how to manage emotions.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health support. With extensive experience working with both youth and adults, I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, life transitions and relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and person-centered, drawing upon my background in psychological theory, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MCBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also am Gottman-informed with couples. I recognize the uniqueness of each individual and tailor your treatment plans to best meet your specific needs. I am committed to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment where clients can explore their emotions and work toward change.

Need a listening ear? I am here!

You can find me sitting in “the counselor chair”, sitting on the floor, and sometimes laying on the floor practicing coping skills with clients. Working in the mental health field, I have met with many flavors of personalities and people from all walks of life. I believe that as humans, we are all trying the best we can with whatever we discover throughout our lives. I enjoy meeting clients where they are, and through a collaborative process get clients where they would like to be. I utilize a multi-modality approach pulling from evidence-based practices to best meet the needs of clients.

If I find you in my office, I appreciate your willingness to allow me glimpses of your life and look forward to figuring out goals together to try and get you where you want to be.

Grand Blanc, Owosso & Telehealth offering low-cost counseling

I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Central Michigan University with a passion for supporting individuals and families through life transitions, loss, and personal growth. My path to counseling has been shaped by diverse life experiences, including a prior career in the service industry, years dedicated to raising a family, and returning to higher education with a strong commitment to helping others.

I am particularly interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating loss, family changes, and identity development. I am also drawn to supporting individuals in military-connected communities, where unique stressors and transitions can impact emotional well-being.

My counseling approach is grounded in reality therapy, solution-focused techniques, and narrative therapy. I strive to create a collaborative, goal-oriented space where clients feel empowered to build on their strengths, develop practical strategies, and reframe their personal stories in meaningful ways.
